Sales and Relationship Manager
Required Experience and Attributes:
The candidate must be extremely knowledgeable and passionate about media and mobile as a marketing platform, be detail-oriented, and have a proven track record of profitable sales, relationship building, and customer retention. Successful candidates will also demonstrate an ability to listen well to client needs and have the creativity to develop mobile marketing programs and mobile interactive programs that exceed their expectations. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate efficiently internally and externally. They will have a strong desire to win, keep their territories organized, and continually develop their personal and professional skills.
Other qualifications:
- University degree with a focus on marketing or media science.
- 2+ years experience in new business projects in the media and/or ad agency industry.
- Ability to develop a strong relationship with media customers and ad agencies.
- Enthusiasm for new technologies and media such as TV, radio and print.
- Proven analytic thinking and organisational talent.
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Self-confidence when dealing with customers.
- Ability to close deals and manage and develop relationships with customers.

Experience in the US mobile industry is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
The Sales & Relationship Manager is responsible for maintaining and building advertising revenue for both existing key accounts and developing new opportunities within a large territory in partnership with the VP of Sales & Marketing. The Sales & Relationship Manager will continually prospect for new business opportunities, build strategic relationships and secure incremental/growth revenue. This individual will be partnering
with the VP of Sales & Marketing on all aspects of a campaign sale including proposal development, media plan development, and presentation delivery. Reporting for campaigns and revenue will also be key.
Other responsibilities include:
- Advise new and existing customers on the successful integration and promotion of Mobile Interactive applications within their programs and campaigns. You must be able to work in a creative and polished conceptual manner.
- Function as the contact person for our US media customers and ad agencies.
- Scheduling, planning and coordinating the implementation of mobile interactive services.
- Ensure that client’s mobile activities are in line with mobile operator and legal requirements.
- Participate in weekly tactical planning and monthly strategic conference calls with customers to review program results and to maximize transaction levels.
- Work closely with conVISUAL’s US and conVISUAL’s German management to produce weekly forecast reports to keep sales and executive management aware of account activities.
- Report to US and German management any customer needs for additional services beyond conVISUAL’s existing product portfolio and applications.
- Travel periodically to meet with customers.
- Represent conVISUAL at conferences or trade shows or visit conVISUAL’s German headquarters as needed.
- Participate in the strategic sales planning, forecasting and US market strategy planning for long term revenue growth.
- Review competitive activity and report implications regarding media and creative strategies and market positioning.
- Grow territory revenue to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Review RFP proposals and make solid recommendations.
- Secure strategic level relationships with client/agency contacts.
